hill country garden wedding // sisterdale, texas
The moment we pulled up to Savannah and Mitchell's wedding venue in Sisterdale, Texas I think I let out a little squeal. The entire venue is covered in massive, gorgeous oak trees all the way down to the perfectly babbling brook behind the ceremony site. Texas has endured a ton of rain recently and now that it's finally held off, everything is so GREEN. Just when I thought it couldn't get better, I stepped inside the adorable old house that the girls were getting ready in and my detail-loving heart did a happy dance! Everything was styled to antique perfection from the beautiful arm-chairs to the patterned wallpaper. It was dreamy!
Of course, none of these pretty details could compare to the amount of love and support that was surrounding Savannah and Mitchell. Their families and friends loved on them all day long and it was truly special to play a part in their wedding! I'm a pretty emotional person and I can always count on getting choked up during ceremonies, but sometimes the tears catch me in little moments too, like when Savannah's bridesmaids and her momma laid hands on her before the ceremony to pray for her marriage. There are a lot of things I love about this job, but being invited into the most dear and divine moments of people's wedding days pretty much tops the list. I am so thankful to have been a part of this wonderful day and for the new friends we've made because of it!
