One of my goals this year was to be interviewed for a podcast (I feel like it makes me a true millennial entrepreneur 😉) and I'm SO honored Laura invited me to join her for the Women On The Road Podcast! I had a blast chatting with her about running our business on the road, ups and downs, how we connect with our couples, why I won't share locations, and a lot more. Here are a few of the topics we covered:

  • What it means to be a nomadic traveling adventure wedding photographer
  • Some of the harder times we've had on the road, like sleeping in an uninsulated trailer in the high desert of Utah in the winter
  • Why I love the simple, utilitarian build in our van
  • The moments I love most about my job as an adventure wedding + elopement photographer
  • I go in-depth about the amount of work it takes to live and work on the road full time
  • I share my two biggest strategies for reaching adventurous clients without having a local market
  • How I balance my work, personal adventures, and constant travel
  • A few mishaps and difficulties we face living and working in the outdoors
  • The roles Callen and I both take to run our business and manage our life on the road
  • How to generate a strong client base
  • How I overcame my fear of heights through learning to skydive
  • My advice for anyone wanting to live a more adventurous life

It was honestly super intimidating to listen to myself and know this is out in the world for anyone to listen to, but overall I'm so happy to have this experience and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed doing it!! It's about 30 minutes long, so I'd be super honored if you give it a listen and let me know what you think in the comments!
