houston, texas engagement photography

We had so much fun with Mara & Quentin's engagement session! Mara is from San Antonio, Quentin is from Austin (we were actually in the same youth group growing up!) and they both live in Dallas now, so picking a place for their session could have been a little complicated. But luckily they came in to Houston for a baby shower and we did their session that morning at a nearby park! The weather was unusually chilly (on texas terms) but these two absolutely rocked it!

When we were planning where to go, Mara's brother-in-law mentioned a local farmer's market and we agreed that would be a perfect 2nd location, it was so fun! I love when we do two locations for engagement shoots, and this one was such a fun way to document their engagement in a more journalistic way! After we shot a few photos, one of the ladies working there asked if we were doing a school project...she thought we were all four in high school! (insert crying laughing emoji) We had to laugh it off, and she felt a little embarrassed when I explained "No, these two just got engaged! We're their photographers!" Of course, after taking photos of them pretending to buy produce, we felt like we should buy something so Callen and I got some strawberries (and convinced the lady to let us take photos of the cute little basket before she put them in a bag) that we enjoyed the whole way home. Win-win!
