Moab, Utah Restaurant Guide | Advice from Local Moab Elopement Photographers

Where to Eat in Moab, Utah

A restaurant guide by local adventure wedding photographers

We’re The Hearnes, adventure elopement photographers based in Moab, Utah! We have been spending a majority of our time in Moab while living on the road for almost five years now, and have been official “locals” for a year after buying our house last winter! We spend a lot of time in Moab, and honestly I get so many messages on Instagram asking for Moab recommendations that I figured I’d create a blog post with everything I send people! I hope this is helpful for you, and definitely let me know if you’ve been to Moab and you think I missed anything! Another similar post we’ve written is:

Moab Breakfast Restaurants + Coffee Shops

Eklecticafe

Hands-down my favorite restaurant in Moab for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and coffee! It’s quirky and delicious, the employees are amazing, and the location (on main as you’re leaving town) is perfect for a stop en route to adventures in Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, or elsewhere in Moab. It does get a bit crowded, so be ready to wait in line during busy hours, but they’re fast with food! They have dog-friendly outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. They do have wifi, but prefer you keep it to 15 minutes so this is not the place to hole up and get work done (they’re busy and don’t need someone taking up a table to sip coffee and order a little food!). I love their bagel sandwich with bacon and house coffee. My friend Bri swears by their Tuna Melt!

Love Muffin

Another Moab staple for breakfast and lunch to-go is Love Muffin! They have amazing coffee, service, and their food/pastries menu is to die for. They sell out of food every day during busy season, so come by early for the best selection! I love their quinoa bowls and breakfast burritos! Love Muffin has indoor and outdoor seating, but not much of it. People typically leave their dogs tied up outside. And again, this is not a great place to come work for hours - they’re busy!

Moab Garage Co.

Garage Co. took me some time to warm up to - they’re new-ish to town (at least as a coffee shop!) but they have proven their value ten fold and I’m sure will be around for a long time. It’s located right on main and is super easy to pop in while walking around town. Their ever-changing avocado toast menu is a ton of fun and always delicious, their burritos are to die for (our friends Cedar + Pines swear by them!) and the cold brew coffee is absolutely amazing. They also have nitro ice cream and various sweets for an afternoon snack. There is a parlor in the back, but I’ve never been!

Moab Coffee Roasters

MCR used to be my tried and true stomping grounds for coffee shop work days before we had a house here! It’s a great place for delicious coffee (try the iced coffee, they use coffee ice cubes so when it melts you get MORE COFFEE!), specialty treats and chocolates, bulk coffee, and pastries. They are newly remodeled and now have more work spaces, outlets, and good WiFi! Be sure to stop by Moab Made next door (more on that below).

Moab Diner

Callen will be so disappointed if I forget to mention the diner, our tried-and-true breakfast (honestly, all times of day) spot! It’s very no-frills, extremely cheap, and always delicious! If you’re looking for something fast, cheap, and a step above the chain fast food restaurants, the diner is your gal ;)

Moab Lunch + Dinner Restaurants

Milt’s Stop & Eat

A classic Moab staple, Milt’s is perfect for burgers + fries after a long hike or bike ride. They’re sometimes packed, but always fast! There is some inside seating, but Milt’s is best enjoyed on the curb, or at a picnic table on their lawn under the giant tree. There is a little play place, so it’s great for kiddos! And dog friendly!

Our favorite Thai Restaurants: Bangkok House Too | Thai Bella | Arches Thai

Surprisingly enough, Moab has a really great Thai food scene! It’s our number one recommendation when people come to town and our go-to carry out after long days when we don’t have the energy to make dinner. I am pretty faithful to my favorite Thai places, but I can honestly say the three above are all very delicious. Bangkok House Too is probably my favorite because they have outdoor seating, they’re never too busy (the food is fast!), and you can grab cocktails at Eddie McStiff’s next door before dinner. Arches Thai used to be our favorite (Callen wears their shirt alllll the time) but they have been pretty crowded recently with longer waits, but if you can get in, it’s delicious! Thai Bella is the nicest, and probably our most preferred for date nights although it’s a bit more expensive than the other two. It’s also the most convenient for carry-out and they’re usually quick (10-15 min) when we call ahead of time.

La Sal House

By FAR my favorite restaurant in Moab, but it’s definitely bit of a splurge. We usually consider La Sal House a special-occasion-only dinner date spot, although you can also sit at the bar for drinks and apps, which is still pricey but more affordable overall! They have a seasonally changing menu with locally sourced food, delicious fresh juice cocktails, interesting beers and wines, and amazing deserts. The House Made Naan is a must-order app that sells out most nights. The vibe is amazing and it’s right on main, so makes for a great dinner-then-walk-around date spot. I reccomend making reservations ahead of time.

Josie Wyatt’s

JW’s just opened this season, but we went for our anniversary when La Sal House was closed (boo) and weren’t disappointed! It’s located inside of a new luxury hotel but has a laid-back western vibe. I highly reccomend the brussels sprouts, and again - they have an amazing drink menu! Pro tip, definitely sit in the bar area so you have access to both menus. The dinner menu can be pretty pricey (it’s primarily a steakhouse), but the bar menu has a lot of great dinner options. I ate there with Bri for her birthday and she got the Lump Crab Melt and loved it! I had the soup of the day, Tomato Basil, and ate every bite! I also just learned from making this post that they have a breakfast menu as well, will definitely have to try that!

The Spoke on Center

Moab’s regular lunch/dinner scene doesn’t have anything super impressive, but The Spoke is our favorite over comparable places like Eddie’s and The Brewery. The cocktails are delicious and they have a good selection of food that will appease any visitor. I usually get the fish tacos and they’re quite delicious! The burgers are great as well.

98 Center

A delicious and interesting asian-fusion spot with everything from Pho (my favorite) to pork sandwiches. It’s a bit more pricey than your standard cafe, but definitely delicious!

Antica Forma

Really delicious wood-fired pizza! We love the food here, but honestly the vibe is super weird. I feel like they could make the interior much nicer for how great the food tastes (and the price) but if you’re into pizza, this is the place to go!

A few other honorable mentions are the Moab Food Truck Park, the Greek Food Truck that is usually on main and 100S, and Quesadilla Mobilla (a food truck on Main and 100N)
