janet + paul's adventurous engagement session | glacier point, yosemite national park | destination elopement photographer

After Morgan + Christian's engagement session near Lake Tahoe, we drove out to central valley for a restful day at my cousin's house before heading out to Yosemite for what was truly the most tiring (+ amazing) weekend we've had since hitting the road full-time. We camped out Thursday night and woke up before the sun Friday morning for Janet + Paul's engagement session at Glacier Point. I honestly think sunrise at Glacier Point is one of the most magical things ever. We always try to begin the session about 15-20 minutes before the sun actually spills over the horizon because those minutes of blue hour are my favorite! That being said, once the sun does begin to show, it makes for some amazing photos. We had so much fun with Janet and Paul's session, dancing around Glacier Point while taking in some of Yosemite's best views while chatting about travel plans and wedding details. There were some nearby wildfires, which was a little bit concerning leading up to their photo session (I was watching the Yosemite webcams all week!) but honestly the slight haze made for such a cool sunrise and I love how it subdues the landscape behind them. Janet + Paul are some of the coolest people we've met and we loved spending this gorgeous morning with them!
