Debi & Scott's Amangiri Elopement | Aman Desert Wedding

Day one of Debi and Scottโ€™s wedding at Amangiri started off with truly one of the most beautiful sunrises Iโ€™ve ever witnessed. We met up with them in their room and they spent the morning sipping tea, ordering breakfast in, and watching the sky light up. It was so vibrant that the surrounding mesas changed colors from their typical white pigments. One of my favorite things about Amangiri is how the buildings were designed to mimic and flow with the landscape, so it was especially cool to see the sunrise light have the same effect on the concrete structures turning the walls orange and magenta. After just a few minutes together, bathed in the sunrise light, we could tell this was going to be a beautiful and incredibly fun weekend.

Their wedding ceremony was in front of a waterfall, then they had a romantic picnic on a glacier, and they ended their adventure at an overlook surrounded by peaks. One of our favorite things about incorporating helicopters into Alaska elopement days is how many different landscapes you can see in one day. These two got to land by a glacial waterfall, an icy slot canyon, and then on a high alpine ridge where the tundra was in peak fall colors. After that, we met up with our guide to trek onto the toe of the glacier and have their ceremony on the ice.
