Hi, I’m Abbi
I am a photographer & adventure-lover based in Moab, Utah with my husband Callen, our toddler daughter Hyder, and our little red heeler pup Bingo (yes, she’s named after Bluey’s sister). We usually spend our spring, fall, and winter here in the desert then head north to live in Alaska every summer!
As you’ll see if you click around our website, we primarily photograph adventure elopements but after years of people asking (namely, many of our former wedding clients), I’ve recently started to take on a limited number of family photography sessions each season.
These aren’t your typical JC Penny family photos. I’ve created my style after our years of adventure elopement photography with an emphasis on enjoying the landscape together with an added ease and simplicity that comes from my personal understanding of how kids can be ;)

The Real You
Forget everything you think you know about family photo shoots. I don’t expect stiff smiles, perfect hair, ironed clothes, or even perfectly behaved kids (or dogs). I will capture your family’s connection to each other & the outdoors in an authentic way, without forcing poses. It will be beautiful, dreamy, a little bit messy, and we’ll embrace the chaos.
What to Expect
The moment you book, I’ll send over a helpful session guide with information on everything you’ll need to know. I’ll be available to help you with details like your clothing choices, your trip plans, and anything else you could need leading up to the session.
Day-of, we’ll spend a little over an hour enjoying the desert in a location we’ve chosen together with your family’s desires in mind. We’ll take plenty of breaks, have lots of patience, and while it’ll go by fast, you’ll be amazed how many photos and little experiences we can create in that short time.
When it’s all said and done, I will give you a gallery of at least 50 photos, usually more. I aim to have at least one photo with every family member looking at the camera and smiling, as well as key pairings like each parent with each kid, just kids together, just parents, and so on. That being said, the majority of your gallery will be candid photos of you playing, laughing, exploring, cuddling, and interacting with each other & the setting we’ve chosen.
The details
Family photo sessions are $2000 & one hour long. Reach out to me via the contact form below and I’ll send over available dates! A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your spot & the remainder will be due two weeks before the session date.
