Utah Luxury Elopement, Part Two

Part One, Amangiri Elopement

When Debi and Scott first reached out to us about their elopement, their only priority was to get married in a beautiful place where they felt peaceful and could avoid the stress of a big production like most traditional weddings. As we talked about elopement location ideas, they were on the fence between getting married in Moab, Utah or at Amangiri, a remote luxury resort near Page, Arizona on the Utah border. We obviously love both places — Moab is our home and we love photographing weddings in the red Utah desert! But we also photograph elopements at Amangiri pretty frequently and can never get enough of the magical, peaceful vibe out there in southern Utah. After a little while, Debi floated the question why not both places? She said they really loved the idea of having their actual wedding ceremony at Amangiri completely with the luxury experience of staying there, having a private world-class dinner that evening, and just the overall relaxing vibe really connected with them. But they also loved Moab and with it being such a special place to them, they decided to road trip across Utah and do a second day of adventures in Moab so they could visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks! The final result is truly a dream adventure elopement with everything you could possibly want. They ended up working with some of our favorite vendors ever, including Lesley Lind and Mae & Co, and Debi rocked two gorgeous Rue de Seine dresses that both fit her personal style so well. It was a blast! This blog post is part two (Arches & Canyonlands National Parks), follow this link for part one at Amangiri.

Considering Moab is our favorite place in the world, we couldn’t have been more thrilled that Debi and Scott wanted to roadtrip out here after their elopement at Amangiri. They had entirely new outfits & accessories too which made everything so much fun. At Amangiri, they’d done their ceremony and had a gorgeous luxurious romantic dinner, so the focus in Moab was pure adventure. To no surprise, they wanted to explore the best of the area so we divided their day between the two big National Parks near Moab. We woke up super early for sunrise in Arches National Park, then ended the day with sunset in Canyonlands National Park. It was perfect!

The Hearnes Adventure Photography is run by Abbi and Callen Hearne, a husband & wife elopement wedding photography (and planning!) team with a major emphasis on adventure.

We’ve completely built our life around adventures in beautiful places, and one of our greatest joys is sharing the adventure with our couples. We lived on the road full time for a few years and then fell in love with a cozy house in the desert of Moab, Utah; our favorite place throughout all of our travels. We still spend about half of the year living on the road, traveling to more favorites like Alaska, throughout the American West, and beyond.

We use our extensive experience and expertise in the outdoors to plan unforgettable custom elopement days for every couple. We usually work with couples to plan everything from their elopement location down to the vendors they’ll work with and the timeline of the day(s) we’ll spend together. We always shoot together and we have kept things intentionally small, working with a limited amount of couples each year such that we can bring our full value to every single planning email, phone call, and of course, elopement day!
